I am Michelle of "Michelle & Company"

My journey began when I was young, making stenciled carpet squares, painting country crafts, creating handmade jewelry and drawing all kinds of doodle art.

Not sure why I never realized art could be my "career,"

but I finally realized it when I was 40. YEP - 40!

It's never too late in life to become who you're supposed to be.

I originally began as "Shabby Girl Creations," updated a few years ago to the name "Fireflys Studio,"

but realized I needed something a little more "Me," so....

Michelle & Company for the win!

You can't get any more "me" than that, right?! LOL

I live in beautiful North Carolina where we have the breathtaking mountains and sandy beaches.

It's "hey ya'll," "sweet tea & lemonade," and "homemade buttermilk biscuits," for me. 

Tree-lined streets, sun-shiny days and the smell of fresh-cut grass make my baby jump!

Life just doesn't get better than that ya'll.

I've been married for 30 years to my high-school sweetheart. We have two handsome, adult sons that we are extremely proud of . They work in the business my Dad began over 25 years ago. 

Both my parents went to be with the Lord, and I miss them terribly, but we will all be together again one day. 

We also have an energetic, adorable 14 year old Shih-Tzu name Sebastian. 

Yes, he's old, but he doesn't know it - no one told him - and he acts like a pup!

I am so excited to be on this creative journey with you.

I know how it is to be on the "struggle bus" trying to build a business on a budget. Trying to walk into that dream you hold in your heart, and sometimes being one of the few who believes in it, but you just can't let it go.

​

All my ups and downs, trials and errors, have led me to who I am today. My business grew, changed and became this beautiful resting place for people, who were just like me, and needed guidance, inspiration, encouragement and a way to flourish.
